HealthPartners' Regions Hospital comitted almost 700 abortions last year in its' "GYN Special Services" unit. Regions is unusual because it has a self contained abortion unit within the hospital.

That's why many individuals, churches and community organizations have comitted to pray, fast at the hospital in peaceful vigil for the end of abortion at Regions and the Twin Cities region.

"Angels of Milot" - Documentary Preview on the Work of Hopital Sacre Coeur

This video is a preview of an upcoming documentary on the dramatic efforts of the staff at Hopital Sacre Coeur in Milot after the devasting earthquake earlier this year. Despite the efforts of numerous volunteers it still costs a minimum of $855,000 annually to keep the hospital open. If you can please visit the Crudem website and make a donation.

Holy Family Hospital in Bethlehem, which is a major work of the Order of Malta, is preparing to deliver its 50,000th baby.  Visit their website and see the "birth clock."  There is also an article about the very first baby delivered there who is now 20 years old.

Blessed John Henry Newman - How To Be Perfect

In honor of Blessed John Henry Newman, who obviously followed his own advice, I refer to this quote of his on what you are to do in order to be perfect. There are many excellent books on the spiritual life but I love this quote as it condenses everything into a simple means that is not beyond any of us. God bless you Blessed John and having reached this step may you soon be counted among the Saints.

If you ask me what you are to do in order to be perfect, I say, first -- Do no lie in bed beyond the due time of rising; give your first thoughts to God; make a good visit to the Blessed Sacrament; say the Angelus devoutly; eat and drink to God's glory; say the Rosary well; be recollected; keep out bad thoughts; make your evening meditation well; examine yourself daily; go to bed in good time, and you are already perfect.
